MISSION STATEMENT
Sex & Psychedelics brings together two provocative and transformative subjects in a dynamic forum. Our annual print magazine, immersive workshops, and curated gatherings offer spaces where curious seekers can share stories, explore research, and engage with art. Our mission is to ignite personal empowerment, strengthen community bonds, and challenge societal norms by platforming this momentous cultural movement.
We aim to be a hub, a centralized space where a diverse and eclectic community can access high-level, curated offerings, connect through shared ideas and creative work, exchange knowledge, and build relationships at the intersection of sex and psychedelics. The conversations we hold are open, intentional, and grounded in a deep commitment to consent, safety, and exploration.
Our contributors include therapists, researchers, artists, and spiritual practitioners. We aim to platform those working at the edges and intersections of these often-stigmatized fields. Visionaries such as Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens, Mark Henson, Britta Love, Mama de la Myco, Mary Sanders, Dr. Cat, David Jay Brown, Nicole Hodges, and many, many others have shared their work through our platform, helping shape a nuanced and evolving cultural dialogue.
We are actively growing a global network. Our readership spans generations, professions, and continents. We’re stocked in cities like New York, San Francisco, Paris, Berlin, and London, and have partnered with organizations including Horizons PBC, She Bop, the Museum of Sex, and MAPS.
As these conversations continue to evolve, we’re committed to creating space for them to flourish by amplifying voices, deepening understanding, and supporting a culture of curiosity, care, and connection.

VISION STRATEGIST
At the heart of Sex & Psychedelics is our core team: Sura Hertzberg, Founding Director; Olivia Clear, Creative and Artistic Director; Emily Savage, Editorial Director; and James Belle Guest, Vision Strategist. We have worked with our designer, Little Shiva, for all three issues. We are a collective of queer, neurodiverse, sex-positive creatives and professionals working at the intersection of sexuality and psychedelics. Our backgrounds span therapy, legal psychedelic facilitation, somatic work, publishing, and community event curation and facilitation. We came together through our shared love of sexuality, psychedelics, and deep transformation. What began as friendship has grown into something greater. Our work is deeply personal, and centered in community.
Community engagement is at the heart of what we do. Beyond our core team, the Sex & Psychedelics community includes people who are exploring new ways of being: visionaries, artists, educators, and seekers from all walks of life. We come together to learn, reflect, create, and connect. Through gatherings and shared experiences, we make space for discovery, intimacy, and growth. Participants gather for ritual, dialogue, and integration, building knowledge and connection in safe, intentional spaces.
As Sex & Psychedelics continues to evolve, we remain committed to building spaces where people of all identities feel seen, respected, and invited to participate. We genuinely love this work: the juicy stuff, the taboos, the edges where people get uncomfortable. The best stories are often the ones unsung, the ones pushed to the margins or relegated to the shadows. We aim to celebrate and platform those voices.
